Lafourche Parish, Louisiana (Non-Operated)
One of our major properties, the Leeville Field (operated and non-operated wells) overlies a large salt dome located in Lafourche Parish approximately 45 miles south of New Orleans along the coast of Louisiana. Over 500 wells have been drilled since its discovery in 1931 by Texaco, with cumulative production exceeding 108 MMBO and 171 BCFG. Production is from multiple Miocene aged sands at depths up to 19000 ft. The piercement salt dome can be found at a depth as shallow as 3,500 ft, with a large growth fault system crossing the field acting as the trapping mechanism for the oil and gas.
